AUX input

Is the AUX input on the factory head unit a "data" link or is it just a headphone jack. By headphone jack I mean could I get a cable and plug my laptop into the jack via the head phone jack on the computer?

Sorry for the stupid question.

Thanks I thinking of using it for watching movies on the laptop during long trips and playing the audio through the car. For the passenger only of course.

Portable DVD players are great for doing the same thing!

Yea... I have used my laptop for music in the HHR. With over 2,000 songs on my comp, it's better than any radio or CD I could have. I haven't used the DVD player in the car, though.
