Axxess Wiring Harness Question...

Hey all, I recently bought an alpine head unit for my HHR due to the stock HU dying.

I bought the axxess wiring harness to install. I have matched all of the wires up, but I have an orange wire and an orange and white wire that do not match to anything.

One says dimmer, the other says Illumination.

Are these needed or can I just not use them as I don't really care that the HU won't dim?

In the past I have never used them, but I have never installed a head unit in one of the newer GM's that have the alarm chimes playing through the factory speakers. But I would still say no.

You were right. Had to cut a piece of the plastic shielding to make everything fit (RCA jacks and antennae adapter). Everything is in there.... It's incredible how much better the sound is with an Alpine HU.... My sub sounds so much louder too..

Thanks again for the help

I connected one of those (don't remember which of the two) to the wire that illuminates the hazzard light (above the radio). Works great.
