Blank radio display

I recently had to disconnect my battery (2007 LT, 2.4, 153K miles), and when I reconnected it, the radio was blank. No numbers, no response to anything, just nothing. Dead. I thought that maybe there was a way to re-program the radio, perhaps it was locked. There was power to the fuse, so the BCM was not at fault. It turned out that the radio just plain died, no reason for it. I had an independent shop connect it to their computer with a Tech2 scanner, and a GM connection. They could not communicate with the radio.
Nothing. For some reason the radio just plain died, it's final day had arrived. I sent it to United Radio for repair and should have it back this week. Removing the unit is easy, and re-installing it will be just as easy. So if you ever get a blank display, chances are it is an internal problem with the radio, not a computer issue.

Of course, I swear , I didn’t touch the positive to the negative or ground, but it could have happened, just a touch could have shorted out the radio and if the diode fries out , then that is probably what happened.

He waits for his radio to be returned from the shop that is fixing it.

Actually, I think Oldblue was #2 or #3 in the string.

Their page is messed up, it's zoomed in, can't un-zoom it.
