Cost of xm

I know I can cancel my xm subscription, but does anyone else think that $301.00 for 2 years is kind of high? I don't like losing options but when the am/fm/cd is there basically for free they have me wondering about whether I should keep it or not.

I pay $20 for 5mo! Cancel before it's due, then they'll let you renew for the same price!

Not sure I think I pay about 120.00 to 130.00 for the year. I never thougt I would spend money for radio but I do enjoy the xm.

do a google search on xm discounts. i pay $77 plus 20 for the year. if the operator won't give it to you, tell them it is to high and hang up and call again. you will get a different operator that may give it to you. i've done this for the last to years. just ask for the $77 special.

I have renewed every year four the last 3 years at this price (might have been 80 something the last time). I don't call the regular XM line. If you call 1-800-347-0600 and tell them you heard you could get a discounted subscription, they will hook you up.

They also offer a lifetime subscription now. It's a roll of the dice though, because you can't transfer it. So if you think you will keep the car for life it might be an option.

It could be free and I wouldn't have it. Cuts out too much in my area. Really poor coverage on Vancouver Island. Sirius is far superior.
