XM is a paid subscription, yours must have expired.

Never liked XM, so I never really used it....even when it was free. But, 2 of my cars came with XM, and of course the free 90 day, or whatever, subscription. After that initial period, I never subscribed, but I still have XM that works by advertising XM, music and then the sales pitch. Just wondering wouldn't other radios that are XM capable, do the same......still work, with advertising?

Moved to Florida 5 years ago, had XM before I moved. I can not even tell you the local FM stations. ...When I was looking to buy my HHR I would only look at the vehicles with factory XM...... I fly out of town 2 to 3 three times a month. When I get my rental I don't care what kind of car it is as long as it comes with XM.....XM is best thing to happen to radio. Kind of like going from 3 channel TV to digital cable.... So many great channels, so little time.

Sorry...Back to your question, I don't know for sure. But even if it does'nt come with XM. You can plug an aftermarket unit directly into the "AUX / AUDIO" jack in the front of your radio.

If you have a CAT button on the radio then it is XM capable if you get a subscription, and will play mp3 cds recorded on computer.
If there is no CAT button, then no XM.
