There's also a factory optioned headrest DVD system, but like any OEM add-on, it's quite pricey at $1500.00

Yes, then don't do what I do. I don't ever use the rear view mirror anyways, so it wasn't a big deal to me, since I have it pointed down to see what she is doing in the back. Since you are trying to keep your price down, the style I have wouldn't work for you since its a $1,200 monitor and then you have to pay someone to put it in. Luckly my friend does car audio for a living and put it in for me, because the flip down in our HHR roof is not that simple. Just keep in mind you do get what you pay for and it sounds like a few have found some good ones for a great price.
