Express window up?

Express window up?
Has anyone figured out how to make the windows do an 'express up'? Currently the driver's window does express down, but it would be nice if it would also do and express up. It would also be nice if all the windows could be configured for express down and up. I have seen other GM vehicles that are configured for both up and down (Cadillac was one of them, and I think Equinox is another), so I know GM has tackled it before. If anyone has tried this, let me know of the outcome and what it takes to make it work.

Express up has been something that I have wanted for a while now. I now Jetta's and BMW has them. I think I recall being told that GM sees it as a safety concern and hence does not put it on vehicles. I think it's for fear of pinched fingers, hands, arms and whatever other body part someone might want to stick out the window.
I would think the reason they don't do it is because pinch protection might be a little expensive and hence would increase the price of vehicles, maybe????

we had the same thing happen with the quests power sliding side doors. They close automaticlly and stop and reopen when they feel something in the way, but if you just have your finger or hip in the way it will squish ya. I held on to just the edge of the door while it was closing and used all I had to stop the door and it would not stop, The whole car was actually moving due to the force I had against the door and it just kept shutting. We told the sales guy about it and he insured us that there would never be a prob with any part of a body getting pinched, so I told him to do what I'd done and when he did he almost lost a finger because he was sure it would stop. I could image a poor kids finger being around the edge of the door when it shuts and really hurt a kid. I must say though if the kid is hanging half way out of the van then yes it will stop when it feels something big.

It appears to be an option on higher-line cars as it is currently available on the Cadillac STS, the GMC Acadia, and the Saab 9.3. So GM is doing it now, just not on all their car lines. I wonder if this is something that is programmed in the body computer, and if it is something that can be added to our vehicles through editing the computer.

Highly doubtful. That is not an option in the PCM that can be switched. That would call for a complete reprogram of the PCM. Something I don't see them doing.
