i know you said you want something other then the window, but i don't think i have found a better spot then the bottom left corner of my window. Especially none that don't involve altering the look of the dash or having the dash console popped up.

Most cars I don't like it there because it is so far away but with our window so close to us, the perfect spot. I can see it without ever having to look away from that area of the window.

Hows that lower right radio working for you/ what type ant you using? Been wanting to do this but don't like location choices and won't under dash it...so it looks like the cubby hole at the bottom of the center waterfall. Cobra has a new 25 series out that looks like it will fit....but need to work out Ant, reception is everything with a smaller unit.....not lke the 29's.Thanks

I used the disk, but mounted it inside the upper compartment. That way I can close it all up and it's out of sight.

I used a metal clip (a mirror clip) and screwed the mounting bracket to it then "hung" it on the lip of the center dash insert so the GPS rests under the A/C vents and above the hazard switch; have power wire running behind dash insert....just want to figure out a way to wire it to ignition switch so it automatically powers on and off

Try the inside fuse panel.

I believe it's #21. I wired in a new outlet here so I can just plug the lighter plug into it. One and off with ignition (well off is when the door is opened).
