GPS Navigation Systems
Anyone here use/own or recommend a GPS Navigation System since the HHRs did not come equipped with that option.
I'm currently in the market for a "good" aftermarket GPS system for my HHR. (removable - not built-in-dash)
Mainly it is for me/my travels but it's also going to be used in my Fiancée's car. (since she's new to Cleveland area)
I've done quite a bit of research into the different GPS models & think I've found one (Garmin 2720) but I wanted to catch some other people's viewpoints/opinions/recommendations. (before I shell out $$$)
Thanks, JD

You can't go wrong with Garmin. I currently have a Garmin GPS10 Bluetooth GPS connecting with my iPAQ for the mapping software. Depending on how big or small of a screen you are looking at the c340 is a very nice unit that has text to voice recognition? The Nuvi is another excellent system. TomTom and Magellan also have very good reputations. The only thing I do not like about the TomTom is the mapping software that they use. The Garmin and Magellan systems use NAVTech software which is much better than TeleAtlas mapping software (IMHO). The other thing I would recommend is the text to voice feature, this way it will actually speak the name of the street that you are supposed to be turning onto instead of just a "ding" noise for when to turn. Before the Garmin I had a NAVMan iCN510 and a NAVMan GPS3450 which was a sleeve style system for my old iPAQ 3955. The 3450 used NAVTech mapping software and the 510 used TeleAtlas software. I returned the 510 very shortly after I bought it because of inconsistencies with the mapping software.

Buy the Garmin Street Pilot I3
It's around $350 and well worth it. I have used the ones that connect to a laptop and this unit blows them away. It's easy to use, small and transfers from car to car. I travel for work and imported all of our office into it for when I am on the road. It's great and cheap.

Second the i3. I have it as well. I used the adhesive backed plastic disc on the dash to the right of the center stack, then suction-cup mounted the unit to that. I hid the wire under the trim there, and hardwired it in behind the radio and used a heater control wire so the unit turn on and off with the ignition. Here's an awful camera phone pic:
Mine was $300 at Target. A real bargain!
