Harbor Freight horns: anyone used them?
For my first DIY mod, I'm going to replace the wimpy horn.
At first, I was thinking I'd use the FIAMM el Grande pair. Then, on YouTube -- pardon the guy's language -- I heard the Wolo Bad Boy plus the FIAMM low tone (three notes... nice!):
...
But now, I found what sounds like, on YouTube ...
... and, according to reviews, a nice, loud pair at Harbor Freight for only $10. So, I thought I'd ask if anyone here has used those.

No experience with Fiamm air horns, or Harbor Frieght honkers, but here's a "How To" on replacing the OEM "Beep Beep" horn.

Personally I prefer Cadillac "Triple-Tone" horns, they blast slowpokes out of the way with a vintage land yacht style "Honk!".

I installed the horns from harbor freight on my Aveo before trading it in for the HHR. The horn isn't all that loud but its a far cry better than the stupid "road runner" beeper that came stock on it. My little boy likes to honk the horns, and I was literally embarrassed when he would honk the stock horn.

Just finished installing the Harbor Freight dual horns and they sound great — a HUGE improvement over the wimpy stock single horn!
I followed a76marine's how-to thread as a guide. Only difference was I used heat-shrink connectors (no electrical tape).
Can't imagine a better $20 mod!
