Help-need wiring info

Hey guys, i've been searching but can't seem to find what i'm looking for so I thought i'd ask. I have an HHR SS with the premium sound system and i'm planning on hooking up component speakers today (front and rear infinity kappa) to a 4 channel amp. My plan is to use the high level input on the amp and I was hoping to jump off the wires that go to the factory amp input. I will be then hooking my speakers up in the doors to the wiring already in place. Can anyone help with information on the wires that go to the stock amp, which colors are for front left, right, and rear right left, power, ground, remote. Basically i'm looking for info on both the input connector and output connector of the stock amp. I"m also planning on adding a separate sub so info on that wire would also be helpful. Thanks in advance.

1. Check out the thread that's been sticky'd at the top of the Audio and Video section.

2. If you want to turn off the auto headlights, it's easier to just twist the smart stick switch to the "Auto" position momentarily. You'll hear a beep and the DIC will display "Auto Lights Off".

thanks I did check that already but it talks about hooking up a subwoofer and gives the wires for that. I need the wires for the front and rear input/output as I am doing component speakers today. Help with which wires are what is appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure you match up to the correct radio connector using your radio RPO code.

and which radio connector would that be? I notice that there are two. I believe I used the remote radio control signal wire #16 for the remote on my amp. Was that the right one or should I have used the radio on signal wire #8?

Damien the connector document that you are using is for a 2006.

Do you have a 2008?

Do you know your RPO code for the radio?

If you don't know the code, please supply me with the last 8 of your VIN and I will hook you up with the correct document.

Hey, I drive 2008 chevy HHR SS with the premium sound system. I don't have the VIN now, but if you need it, I can get that info later this evening. Thanks for your help.
