Homemade speaker brackets
Got a set of 4 Kenwood speakers for Christmas. When I went to install them, I found the horribly designed tear-drop speakers. I tried to install the Kenwoods with the round brackets Crutchfield sent but they didn't work very well. After making my own, I found some aftermarket brackets on Amazon. Most of the reveiws said they were cheap and thin anyway.
I designed my own and machined them from 1/4 thick plastic sheet. Made some gaskets from flat shipping foam. They worked great and sealed the hole in the door. Sounds awesome now. Much louder clearer than the factory speakers and compliment my Kenwood head unit I installed last year.
