How can I enable Factory delete xm & onstar
My 2010 1LT was born a rental car. I guess to get onstar back I will have to get the fmv version it just has a regular rear-view mirror
But what about xm radio? My radio has the cat button the band selection cycles from am to fm and thats all. Also there is no shark fin on the roof.
Anyone know if there is a fairly cheap way to enable the xm?
the onstar fmv is like 300 bucks so i can not do that right away.
Any help would be great.

All HHR's are XM ready, but you need to see if yours is XM capable. so check the build tag in your glove box for the U2K option. If you don't see that code, and/or your head unit lacks a "Cat" button, its more complicated than enabling the XM, because you don't have it.
Here's a thread on installing the factory module/wiring harness kit.....

It has the cat button I forget which code it is but it has factory delete for onstar and xm when I press the cat button it says reserved for xm radio the band selector just scrolls from am to fm. Thanks for the info
just looked at my glove box codes I have U2J digital radio not installed.
No problem will just have to save my pennies...
