I Was Gettin Some Head!

WHAT'S UP YA'LL!!! MY NAME IS ISAAC. I AM A 25 MALE, LIKE LONG WALKS ALONG THE BEACH. LOOKING FOR ……OH WAIT A MIN……. I HAVE BEEN READING ON HERE FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS NOW, AND FINALLY GOT SOME TIME TO POST MESSAGES NOW THAT I FEEL THAT MY MINI BURBAN IS WORTHY OF SOME MODS. AS THE TITLE STATES I GOT ME SOME HEAD...AND JUST WANTED TO SHARE SOME INFO. ON THOSE NEEDING HELP TO GET YOU SOME HEAD. I USED THE FAMOUS AND FRIENDLY SEARCH BUTTON BUT COULDN'T FIND THE POST ON HOW TO POST PICS. I KNOW I SAW IT SOMEWHERE WHILE I WAS DOING MY NIGHTLY 3 HOUR READINGS. FOR ALL NON REGISTERD USERS......SEARCH BUTTON IS ONLY AVAILABLE ONCE YOU JOIN.....SO WHAT YOU WAITING FOR!!!!!! WELL ILL GO LIL BY LIL ON WHAT I WAS DOING AND WHY....... I FOUND THIS VERY HELPFULL DUE TO THE GUY AT CIRCUIT CITY WAS IN A HURRY I GUESS, AND BEING IT THAT I DENIED HIS OFFER TO LET THEM INSTALL MY SYSTEM.

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/audio-video-17/audio-wiring-9439/

THAT LINK IN CONJUCTION WITH THE WIRING DIAGRAM FROM YOUR AFTERMARKET HEAD UNIT GO HAND IN HAND......OF COURSE THE REASON BEHIND ME HAVING TO WIRE IT DIRECT WAS THE CURCUIT CITY GUY SOLD ME THE WRONG HARNESS. I DIDN'T GET TO INSTALLING THE RADIO TILL A DAY LATER, AND ME LIKE ALWAYS, I ENDED UP DOING IT AFTER 9PM WHEN ALL THE STORES CLOSE. ( ILL TRY TO NOT GO INTO MUCH DETAIL ) ANYWAYS, I GOT TO REMOVING THE DASH AND TOOK OUT THE FACTORY RADIO. I HAD TO KEEP GOING BACK AND FORTH FROM THE ABOVE DIAGRAM TO THE PIONEER DIAGRAM TO MAKE SURE THAT I WAS GETTING EACH WIRE WITH THE CORRESPONDING CORRECT WIRE. I HAD A ROLL OF ALARM WIRE LAYING AROUND SO I USED SOME WIRE TAPS TO MAKE EXTENTIONS FROM THE FACTORY WIRING TO THE PIONEER WIRING, JUST TO HAVE SOME ROOM TO PLAY WITH. HERE IS A PIC WITH THE EXTENTIONS THAT I MADE TO THE FACTORY HARNESS.

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6533294

NOTE* YOU MAY HAVE TO CUT THE PLASTIC BEHIND THE RADIO AREA AS I HAVE IN THIS PIC...I USED A DREMEL TO MAKE SOME OF THE LARGER CUTS. ALSO A HACK SAW BLADE WILL WORK NICELY TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THE LINES AFTER MAKING A CUT. THE REASON FOR THIS IS TO HAVE ROOM FOR THE RADIO AND ALL THE WIRES TO FIT BEHIND THE RADIO AND NOT HAVE ANY INTERFERENCE WITH SPACE.

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6533300

DO NOT..DO NOT..DO NOT....CUT TOO CLOSE OR CUT OFF WHERE THE TWO SCREW TAB THINGS ARE IN THE PLASTIC...THAT'S WHERE THE AIR CON TUBING IS HELD IN PLACE. CUT AS CLOSE TO IF NEEDED BUT MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ENOUGH PLASTIC ON THERE WHERE THE TABS WILL STAY IN PLACE. THE PIC SHOWS ME JUST HACKING AWAY, BUT I WENT OVER WITH THE HACK SAW BLADE TO CLEAN UP ALL THE CUTS....EVEN THOUGH NO ONE WILL PROLLY EVER SEE BACK THERE...JUST THE KNOWING THAT IT'S ALL NICE AND CLEAN. I DID USE A MONSTER BRAND AMP KIT... HERES A COUPLE OF PICS OF "MY WORK SPACE/AREA"

ONE THING THAT YOU ARE ALSO GOING TO HAVE TO CUT OFF, IS THE LIL TABS ON THE ACTUAL DASH KIT. IT'S THE TWO BLACK LIL TABS ON THE CORNER OF THE KIT

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6533301

ANOTHER THING THAT I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST AND DID WITH THIS INSTALL, IS CUT OUT A HOLE BIG ENOUGH FOR A SWITCH OF YOUR CHOICE. AS I DID HERE ON THE PLASTIC COVER THAT IS UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS IS WHERE I RAN MY REMOTE WIRE FROM THE RADIO TO THE SWITCH, TO THE AMP. I'VE DONE THIS IN THE PAST WITH OTHER CARS FOR THE REASON THAT MANY TIMES I DONT WANT TO BE BUMPIN WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR. DONT WANNA BE HEARING BOOM BOOM BOOM THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO BOOM BOOM BOOM ROUND AND ROUND, ROUND AND ROUND BOOM BOOM BOOM...*NOT THAT MY SON LISTENS TO MUSIC LIKE THAT* JUST FOR EXAMPLE PURPOSES...HA HA

FINISHED RADIO INSTALL PIC....OH YEA...I PAINTED THE DASH ONLY 3 DAYS AFTER I GOT THE CAR ON 7-20-07..BUT THAT'S ANOTHER POST...

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6533303

THE AMP IS A NT-POWER NT-1382 1200 WATTS AND SUBS ARE KICKER COMP. C10 10” 300 WATTS WIRING BY MONSTER.

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6533308

DASH KIT---METRA 9933-02…AT BEST BUY $20.00
ANTENNA ADAPTER---METRA 40-CR10….AT CIRCUIT CITY $20.00
WITH IT HARD WIRED TO THE CAR…NO MORE SEAT BELT CHIMES, TURN SIGNAL SOUNDS….AND I SAVED $$$$....IF NOT BRAVE ENOUGH TO HARD WIRE FORK OUT THE DOUGH TO SAVE TIME FOR INSTALL AND KEEP THE CHIMES AND STUFF. AND JUST FOR KICKS…HERE ARE A COUPLE OF CARS I HAD….LIL IDEAS OF WHERE I MIGHT GO WITH THIS ONE…

it's like those instructions they would give us in school where it would list like 100 things...and on the top it would say "READ EVERYTHING FIRST" and then you would see how many things to do and would have things like, stand up and say your name out loud, sit down and clap 10 times....the thing behind that was on question # 30 it would say...dont do what the questions say to do...you are now done, flip the page over and raise your hand.

Oh wow... I can't believe you mentioned those! I had one of those in 5th grade, and I remember it all too well.

I was one of the ones who didn't read everything, so I'm doing stuff like walking around the desk 5 times, humming some song, and trying some tongue twisters
