I pod connection

I have a "failed connection" most times I plug in an IPod touch in the USB port on my 09 HHR. A wheel I pod works every time, so is this a know issue?

My touch works fine, but what I have to do is go into the touch, go to music, go to songs, and select shuffle all songs, then plug it in and it should work fine.

Thanks. I'll try that tomorrow. I was begging to think it was my cord ( which is already suspect )

Thumbs up iTouch works?!

I think I may have found the secret!!!

I've been suffering with this issue.. I've got a iTouch gen2 and until today, could rarely get it connected, and never for more than a song. I had the latest software update, new cable, reloaded the whole thing and nothing worked. My gf's 80GB ipod connects right up and even displays the GM logo. Well, this afternoon, I was fussing with it and decided to start iTunes. iTunes came up and said that it was unable to connect because there wasn't a wifi connection. With iTunes in that state, I plugged the iTouch into the stereo and it connected right up. There's a little blue arrow that displays at the top, next to the battery indicator. I was able to search for songs, start/stop/change music. I started the car and it stayed connected!

After work I'm going to play around a little more to make sure that was the fix. Until my gf's connected, I was going to take it back to the dealership. I'm feeling optimistic now!

OK, well non of that worked... I'm at a loss now. It's supposed to be compatible with the 2nd gen iTouch. It's not the cable. My girlfriend's ipod works. It's got to be a software issue on the iTouch... UGH!

It's because your HHR is a PC and the iPod is a Mac. :P
