Hello,
I added audio controls to my steering wheel today and was surprised it wouldnt control my PAL when fwd or Rev songs. If I pushed any of the arrow buttons on the steering wheel while listening to the PAL it would revert to local radio stations. Volume and mute works fine with PAL.

There is something about not using the arrow button to change songs in the manual not just on the steering wheel.

This may be a dumb question but i'll ask it anyway. I just bought my 06 HHR used and I would really like to add this. However I went into the glove box to see if I have the correct radio. It appears to me that the previous owner removed the label in the glove box that gives you this info. I don't quite understand why someone would remove this but they did.

I was just wondering if there is a way to tell if I have the correct radio so I can add this?

Thanks in advance.

Is it a stock factory radio? If it is then it will work. I have a 06 LS I added them to it.

It is a stock radio but it is the "cheap one". I looked at alot of HHR's when I bought this one, this was the only one I looked at that didn't tell you what song was on the radio. It is definately a low level radio.

Hopefully this helps.

I hate to say this but I'm extremely disappointed with the PAL. It is so S L O W to react. It can take 60 seconds to more than two minutes to navigate to a a song. Its not just the clunky interface - it is just slow as molasses. So after shelling out 280 to install, I'm back to using the AUX jack. iPods rule, PAL's stink!

I hate to but I have to agree. The PAL is slow and clunky... I mean infuriatingly, unusable slow.

I'm back to the AUX jack.

has anyone tried checking out the peripheral electronics isimple solution?
from what I'm reading, the PAL is not the way to go. so i was doing research and found this thing called the PXAMG. I don't know much about this stuff, it would be really helpful for someone who knows more about it to let me know what they think. http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/ just go here and enter your year make and model. let me know what you think. please and thank you!
