I-pod Interface From GM

Go to RadioShack and get a couple of split ferrite-beads and put them on the ends of the connection wires close to the connectors. Should help the engine whine, probably why the kit's been recalled.

Sorry, I've been slacking on commenting here...
I've been in contact with the dealer and confirmed the "stop sale" on the unit, the new model was "supposed" so be available at the end of February (you can see hw accurate that is if you know what today is). My dealer/parts guy is gonna keep checking the part # for availability every few days and will call me whaen it is available. So, we've been using the AUX/MP3 port 'cause the interface isn't working well at all now, every disconnect requires a reboot of the iPod.
I'll let everyone know when I get my call!!

Sounds like more of a hassle than anything else IMO. I'll stick with the aux connection for mine (my aux alternates between my iPod and my mobile XM receiver). Hope to at least hear that this issue has been resolved with the new equipment.
