Exclamation Interface hub issues... Please chime in...

The Specs...
DNX Excelon 8120
Viper 7900
1 steering wheel adapter
2 interface hubs (alarm and H.U.)...

So Pro Tint has had some issues with my hhr, which according to Viper, Kenwood and the Perifial it's specific to my car.

It seems the stereo interface and alarm interface interfere with each other. So far the problems I've had are...

Delay in the H.U. coming on - Sometimes it would come on sometimes it would take a few minutes. I would here some clicks coming from the steering column then all the alarms, dings and H.U. would all start working at once.

Auto start - Starts fine, but when cut off it wouldn't actually cutoff even though the two way said it was off, so it would keep the hhr running and unlock the vehicle.

Steering Wheel Control - Worked fine at 1st then after a few attempts to get other devices working ok it now decides to work when it wants to.

Auto Start II - When I cut the vehicle off, it turns over once to try and start up.

Anyone else had these problems?

Anyone have any ideas to solve these problems?

The installer is checking into other "routes" we can take with this, I told him I'd post this on see what pops up. If anyone needs more specific info let me know.

The installer has tried different bypasses and wiring certain components direct. With one fix there's another screw up.

sucks...

I have already purchased my amp/speakers but haven't started my install yet because I keep reading the horror stories.

I have thought about keeping my stock HU and trying to cram it under the dash and leave the tweeters hoooked up for onstar and chimes.

Let us know what you figure out. Seems like you loose alot and have issues with aftermarket hu/harnesses.
