IPod cable

Your best bet to find a cable in a reasonable length (6 feet is too long) is Radio Shack. I found one ther that was one foot long, which meshed well with the holder/charger I bought on-line for my Nano.

I have the six footer and it is way to much, if you want it to charge at the same time you might have to go with a fm transmitter. I have one of those too for times that there isn't a spot to direct hook an ipod. They cost more, but you can charge as you are listening and then tune to whatever station comes in clearest.

I bought a combination charger/holder for my iPod on eBay. It's made by Griffin.

They are available in lots of places and online. I got mine cheaply through an eBay vendor who unfortunately is no longer a seller. Just run a search for Griffin Tuneflex. I like mine because it charges while you drive and is easily attachable through a previously mentioned patch cord. It's long enough so that it rises above everything and is in perfect view so I can operate the iPod without shifting around in the seat while driving.
