Here is what I do...

My MP3 data cd's have the artist in a folder, and the songs in the folder.
Example: BEATLES, hold over 66 songs, CSN&Y holds over 45, etc...

Real simple, real neat & tidy...

I try to keep a personal limit of around 120 songs, because at one point,
I thought it blew off the ones over that... But tha's been a while back.

A good tip, burn your data disc on a cd-RW, try it our for a few days,
and if ya like it, burn it to a CD-r. That way you can find typo's or tunes
ya really wanted to have left out, etc...

I always test on a cd-rw for that reason...
Only downside is skipping to the song you want. It takes forever.

I just started doing cd's like this and as long as you use folders, its not bad at all.

Im not necessarily talking about the navigation, but the time it takes to display each track name and to actually skip tracks

Teech,

You're right about pushing the arrow button over and over while you try to drive. Pain in the butt.

I should have added, that my personal preference is the RANDOM feature, so for me, there is no looking for a particular album/song/artist etc.

I like to mix it up and have a variety of songs to listen to not knowing what will play next.

Today I picked up a 1-Ft. 1/8" stereo miniplug to 1/8" stereo miniplug cable from Radio Shack. The length is perfect if you are going to lay the iPod in the tray below the window controls. The grey color looks good in my interior, and it was only $4.99 USD.

I am installing one of the ipod interfaces in my hhr. I will be finishing it tonight and hope to have the pics up soon. I like this b/c of the fact that I can control my ipod through the stock radio.

Update: I went to Circuit City today and got the Belkin Auto Kit for iPod. It is a 12V charger for the iPod that plugs into the cigarette lighter port. Also, it has a line out jack that I am using with the 1 Ft. cord I previously purchased. I found the sound quality better using the line out of the iPod rather than the headphone jack. Plus the adaptor has a variable output on the line out jack which is nice as well. I have it turned al the way up with no distortion, but it's nice to know it's adjustable for other cars. $39.99 USD and it looks pretty nice, too!
