My audio system pics.

I am almost done with my audio system so I decided to post up some pics on my progress so far. Still yet to do is mount and fabricate grilles for a pair of Image Dynamics Horns up front under the dash, minor trim work, and wiring the entire system.

These first 3 pics are of the sound deadening. I used 100 sqft total of sound deadening material (this was a major pain in the neck):

These next 2 pics are of the enclosure. I layered the stock enclosure with sound deadener and then carpeted it. I chose a sub that would perform very well with the stock enclosure and then mounted it with the magnet facing out to maximize the total airspace:

This next pic is how I mounted the electronics into the storage area:

These last 4 pics are the final trim piece for the electronics:

Some of the best features are that the factory floor panel fits over the top of all this and I still have a fully functional hatch area and I can still easily access my spare tire in case of an emergency. I’ll post more pics when I finish with the front horns. I did some small mods as well, like add an extra lighter jack in the hatch and changed the antenna from Onstar only to Onstar/Satellite for use with my Sirius radio. I also added Bluetooth capability to the factory radio via a Parrot LS-3200.

Wow, nice work. I like your gear too. I've always loved Xtant amps.

Look and Learn people! This is the way it should be done. Nice and Clean!

Are you going to fashion something to protect and dress up the back of that sub?

I want to but I stare at it and nothing comes to mind For now thought I will run to Pep Boys or something and get some of that chrome door trim protector (you know that stuff people put on the edge of their doors) and use it to trim out the hole. I was also thinking of using neon lights behind the panel to "show it up" a bit.
