Lightbulb Need to replace subs....any thoughts about this?

Need to replace subs....any thoughts about this? I can get it at a decent price.

The box I had before was sweet but discontinued. I liked the sound and look of the JL Audio box.
And I still like the idea of being able to take it out.
I've still got the amps so all I'd have to do is plug it in.

Mike, Bearingin mind recent events, I know these boxesmake real big kaboom and such, but have you thought about a custom woof install for the bottom panel area of the cargo section?
My local car audio shop and I plan on doing a custom install with 2 10" JLs AND still being able to use the spare tire section for the spare tire.
We plan onputtinh the amp under the passenger seat. The area where the old 8" sub was is another open spot for the amp, but may need fans.

Just an idea since the big sub boxes really do provide a large impetus for a thief to break in. Besides, you could regain your cargo area if the large temptation sub box was not there.

Me ?I like stealth in stereo intalls and performance installs, but I like lots of chrome for everything else!

I have thought about it and have another box I'm looking at too. My two amps are below the rear deck and my 8" , changed out to an audiobahn, is actually being used now.

The sound of the JL box was amazing. I'd rather have an easy box for would-be thieves to carry away than to have them need to rip stuff up.

Fair point on the last part, but the large box is a lure as well.............
At least they left your amps in the last heist.

Hey, did you ever figure out how they got in? I should go back and read your other thread about now too . I've been away for a day and am at the inlaw's house in Massachusetts.

Apperently all it takes to get into our cars is a screw driver shoved under the drivers' door handle.

Yeah, just read through the other thread. Wuz gonna post to it but it is closed? I guess mods figured tempers would be flairing with all the cries for death

You know it makes me rethink even showing our cars off at local cruise nights. I'm sure some devious folks are there taking notes...........

Now that other huge box above looks like a fine contender. Granted Aurobahn is not JL, but in these lower frequencies is the dollar difference going to make a huge difference in sound? For mids and tweets I'd spend mo money ( not that you're needin' any ) For the lows, an utobahn compromise would likely still put a smile on your face AND leave you extra cash for a possible alarm upgrade with an electrical stun setting

Actually, I'm the one who closed it. Figured enough had been said, good and bad.

I'm starting to think the same on the sub. I did find a used one like the one that got stolen on ebay. I just am unsure about buying used audio. I can get the audiobahn box for about $200 shipped.
