I just noticed Sans your from Georgia, which part? There is some nice MECA shows not to far from anywhere in Georgia. I compete with my HHR in the sound quality street class. My install is also well hidden from view. The HHR has ample options for the mild to wild setups.
The pioneer baffles will work for normal listening, but if you're wanting to compete I'd use MDF for a more solid mount. Here is some pics of my doors, showing the baffle and deadening. The last pic is of the window track thats bolted at the top corner of each door behind the exterior handle. Its a very bad rattle spot, that took me a year to find. I unbolted it and sandwiched a piece of carpet between the two pieces of metal. Hopefully these pics will give you and idea of the fun you are in for. Theres alot of work but its very much worth it in the end.

I live in Rabun county. Very edge of GA that looks like it will be a fun job how long did it take to do all that? I would love to come to shows and stuff with everybody and see what else people are doing with the HHR
