No wonder...

The rear speakers suck in our non premium systems, they're 8 ohm.

That means they won't get as much power as the front.

With that said, does anyone know how much space is behind the leftside (driver) where the pioneer sub sits?

I've got a 10" Kicker that I would like to put there, but it needs about 1.5 cu.ft. to sound like something.

Don't waste your time. Just get a box.

Get it custom made into the car, then u can still have the utility and not have to remove the box everytime you want to fill her up to haul stuff.

That is what I am wanting to do. I could probably do my own fiberglass box behind that panel. But still don't know if it'll be enough space for the sub.

Theres a couple here that have done a custom 10" box in the rear quarter, check the sticky thread. Theres only about .3-.5 cubic feet though, even with a custom box.

I was gonna do the same but, I didn't want to go through the hassle and money to fabricate it. I bought the 10" Solo Baric w/enclosure for $149.00 on ebay along with a a zx750 for $179.00. Both brand new. So $329.00 plus $200 to install. The box is mounted on the driverside standing up right and if I wanna haul something in the back, dissconnect 2 wires and go. The amp and the cap sit on the tray above the spare tire tray so they are not in the way.

I went yesterday to Circuit City and picked this up:

Dual 10" sealed enclosure $14.96
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Subwo...ategorylist.do

They also have MTX JackHammer subs buy 1 get 1 free:
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/MTX-J...oductDetail.do

I picked up a set but didn't like them to much, so I'm going to return them.

I already have 1 10" Kicker comp and going tomorrow to pickup another.

So I'll have about $80 total in the subs and enclosure.

I've got a Profile AP1040 80w x 4 and I'm probably gonna get a Profile AP1000M 500w mono block to run the subs.

I'm either going to use a cap or get an extra battery.
