Non-best buy/frys brand gear thread!
#11
Cannot buy these items at any big box store .....
I really do not like to post non HHR vehicles on this forum . But if we needed to go there , then we went . The wiring is neat and precise . The interior was built around the components.
I sense a bit of sarcasm and ridicule in some of the responses ( you know who you are ). I tend not to criticize but rather encourage and make suggestion based on what will be the most cost effective . (IE voltage meters )
So if that sort of behavior is fair game on this site , I may need to put aside my manners for a bit and let it go . But it seems I was raised to have respect for my fellow human being . With that said , I shall move on .

This is my FIRST install. It's a work in progress.
Much has changed. This is the pac lc-1 location now.
Smaller volt meter.
Were you just going for quick and easy in the HHR? Why do you show so much disrespect to the HHR, but other vehicles get a decent install? Do you not think the HHR deserves better?
Also I would try and buy the same brand of rca cables . It adds attention to detail to your work .
Same thing with your power and grounding scheme . Black, Red and Silver ?????
Positive is usually suited as the blue line and the silver is ALWAYS negative
Some of your wiring is passed through the amp rack , others are not .
In the air vents ??? Need to keep those two items cool ?
Cardboard ???? Great for damping and reflective properties I guess ..
Looking at your cut out for your sub with the red Permanent marker . You do know that you can make a circle jig to mount a router on and make that a precise cut ?
What`s up with the red 2 on the basket ?
