oem backup camera

oem backup camera
2 questions:
1) can the mirror be retrofit?
2) does it make more sense to find a GM OEM Head Unit that has nav and a backup camera to retrofit that will fit seamlessly in the HHR space? Which model (vette?)
The idea here is simplification of harnesses and power. Of course I could go custom with pioneer, but I would like to keep the OEM look. Speakers/soundproofing is a different story however.

Ok,
I've seen this:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/audi...pped-c6-2.html
and it is compatible with the steering wheel switches. To get the NAV to work you need the antenna obviously.
I don't know if you can take one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/PAC-VCI-GM2-BACK...ht_3000wt_1071
and hook up a camera or not.
I do know that the traverse has the generic center volume knob radio that the impala's and HHR's have and they have this as an option:

That does everything I want except the backup camera is in the radio itself not the mirror.

This does seem to be a plus if the HHR doesn't have the mirror cam already.
Both of those cases, the vette and traverse (the HU in the traverse I prefer from an interface standpoint) are Bose and I do not want a bose system and you can use the bose head unit if you have an interface between a normal amp and regular speakers so that is a non-issue.
Does anyone know anyone who has done a backup cam install, or an Head unit swap from another GM product that fits in the space for the HHR?
Thanks,
Seth
