Problem solved

I wasn't going to post on this form again because of DonBrews,Comments. I guess he has no exceptance of HHR owners that are not as knowledgeable as he. His arrogance is way beyond exceptable as far as I am concerned. But in trying to be of some help to others maybe having the same issue as me with intermittent power on my radio. I decided to replace my 2 year old battery. I am not sure why but my radio works fine now. The battery had been checked and showed fine. The car was starting every time but maybe there was a weak cell that was not keeping 12 volts on the battery when engine was not running. I am not an expert on this, but everything is fine now. Maybe mr do brews the know everything person has the answer

Just my thought here. I would guess that by disconnecting the old battery, that the radio and/or the BCM went into "reboot" status.
This reboot(or restart) of the electrical system may have cleared up the radio problem allowing it to now work.

The radio could work for a long time, or start acting up again. Hard to say. Since you never were able to determine the exact cause it's just hard to be sure.

Fwiw. I seriously doubt the battery was the cause of your original problem. But, glad the radio is working for now. Hopefully it will not give you any more issues.

pdmorris1 - you might want to go and check your classified ad looking for a replacement radio. People have been leaving comments/suggestions/offers and you have not acknowledged them.

He does not ignore advice.

And I don't know when I threatened his shoulder chip, I have re read my post 5 times.

I do have a lot of "exceptance", I think. I know everything I know "except" what I don't know; and that's a lot!.
