SUCCESS

i found the pink wire in the radio harness that i had cut apart years ago...i hooked up to the powered antenna wire from my head unit and it made a HUGE difference......i can get a station, that before, i had to drive 30 miles toward it to get even poorly............ i wish i knew this this years ago


i would assume that it is 12vdc going to the antenna booster and that the wire in the head unit is just a dry contact that switches a rely to get power to the antenna,,, but i am only guessing at this......??

i also found the grey wire for the display dimmer,,,,, hooked that up to the head unit and Voila............it works like a charm when the headlights are on...

the sony has infinitly adjustable lighting,,,,, so i was able to color match the rest of the dash......
