Pairing a Bluetooth device with my 2011 HHR LT
Hello folks...long time since I posted here!
I just traded in my 2007 Silverstone HHR LT fora 2011 Ruby Red LT with all the goodies.I am trying to pair my Pantech Crux with the on board Bluetooth Hands Free in my HHR. I follow the voice prompts, make sure my Crux's Bluetooth is "On", but I get a message from my HHR saying that pairing has failed. My Crux see my vehicles Bluetooth and the radio screen gives me the pass code but when I select the pair option on my Crux I get a "Failed To Pair" message on both my phone and from my HHR. Has anyone been able to get this feature to work in their HHR?
The Verizon site has a chart listing all compatible phones and vehicles and I should be good to go.
Any tips,suggestions,etc would be appreciated!

You need to make sure that your phone bluetooth is set to "Discoverable". I've never heard of a Crux. Try another brand of phone, any new phone, from a friend or coworker, and see if it will pair. If it does the problem is the phone, which is what I suspect.

Not to make you feel bad but I have now paired two non-listed bluetooth phones to my 2011 HHR LT - a Palm Pre+ & a Motorola Droid Bionic. Both went very smooth. It sounds like an issue with your bluetooth device. Trying some other brand is a good test.

Got it guys!!! It appears that my phone was set to "Auto-Pair" and when I turned that feature off I was able to pair with my HHR.Go figure. I do appreciate all the help..this forum rocks...

Great site folks. I searched for BLUETOOTH and found several threads about an option I didn't even know I had. I recently bought a certified pre-owned 09 SS and in the description is states "OnStar" and "Bluetooth". Well, OnStar is NOT active(don't want it) but by following the instructions posted on this site I was instantly able to pair my Samsung Galaxy 4.
I had yet to read the owner's manual from cover to cover and this site saved me some reading.
Thanks folks!
