Pictures of GM PAL Ipod controller

It's been so long since I installed the thing I really don't remember. Snowing right now or I'd go look to be sure but I'm pretty sure it was a non-usb connector. It does have RCA audio inputs thou but not sure how they would be used.

Just to be sure, this PAL adapter should work with the regular factory cd player head unit, correct? I don't have a changer, XM, OnStar, or the premium sound system.
I just want to be sure I don't waste the money if it's not going to work.

I have the PAL installed and find it very slow.
I just bought a stock 2009 Radio head off ebay with the new USB interface on the front (plays WMA MP3 AAC iPods and memory sticks throught the USB). Memory sticks are cheaper than iPods :)
I will compare the two and post here.
Notice bottom right side of radio. USB connector

ChevyMgr - I know we were talking about this in the other post, but would this put me on the track to enabling bluetooth for my phone as well?

A vehicle with that radio will need to be scanned and the part number obtained or someone can pull their radio and get the part number off the top of the radio. Parts catalogs don't have radio numbers since replacements are handled through the ESCs.

Boys, we've beaten this horse to death. There is no way, today, to get bluetooth retro-fitted to you HHR unless you go out and buy a new HHR with that option pre-built into the car. You can purchase after-market bluetooth units (parrot, GPS units), but not with the factory parts. I know, I've tried every way. I have the '09 OnStar, '09 Radio with XM, and the '09 leather steering wheel with audio control buttons.
Nada, Nix, Nien, Nothing. Now we return to the iPod PAL hookups.
