Quick removable subs

Quick removable subs
Im wanting to do a boxed sub setup but would like to figure how it can be easily removed for random times when I need storage space.
And I don't want to have to go back to the battery and disconnect the power lead every time either.

when I need the room I just disconnect my box at the spring terminals and wrap a piece of electrical tape around each wire.
However lifting out and storing an 80lb dual 12" box is neither easy nor convenient. I would recommend a single higher power sub.

How much bass do you want? I have had 2 12's and also a couple different single 10" set ups in cars and believe me, I love bass. Now what I did you can read in the forum a couple lines down called "replacing stock subwoofer" Basically, I replaced the stock sub with a much better one and added an amp and let me tell you, if you pick the right sub, matched to the factory box, and powered correctly, it will easily sound like a good single 10" set up. I can't believe how much bass I now have.

Alright, you're in luck because I obsessed over this idea in my previous vehicle
all you need to do is mount the amp somewhere, and then run the speaker wires behind the panels - anywhere you want, install a push terminal like you see on sub boxes
I would suggest putting it in the stock 8" sub place because it's easy to replace
Make sure you get the push kind so its easy to remove
Then you simply leave the wires in the box connected and then voila
Now this sounds like you want to have the amp connected to the box though?
I have my amp under the first shelf thing, the one that has the little tabs so you can fit it into the side hooks or whatever
you could easily just setup a fan down there or several for that matter since computer fans run on 3.3, 5, or 12v - some even have speed switches like antec tri-cool fans
tons of options
hope this helps
