I was noticing that folks weren't even seeing the links in the post. Much less the obvious ones in my sig.

Actually Don, I missed that link in post #2 the 1st time I read it.

Fwiw. I always put something in my posts like:"Try this link:http://ww.......
Gives the reader a heads up that there's a link pending.

Im thinking maybe it has to do with blending in? Most moderators/Admins etc have links in their signature so maybe it blends in? just a guess but as I said, maybe people just arent looking hard enough?

And some folks , have the answers in their minds! Or their issue is different from the link.
That's part and parcel to Internet diagnosed car problems!
We give advise, some take it , others disagree, cause a friend or relative said something else.
Just last night, I was out for a coffee, I pulled into the lot and there was an IBM 2LT HHR there, two guys had the hood up, I walked over said hi, asked what's up.
The owner says that he used his HHR to jump start a friends HD earlier on in the day. Now he doesn't have power steering!
I showed him the two underhood terminals, he said no , his friend with the bike, connected to the black EPS terminal!
I showed him the blown EPS fuse!
The guy says, that's great now I'm gonna have to go to the dealership, cause that is a factory only fuse!
Apparently the dude used to work at the GM plant near here, so he knew all these things.
I went into the parts palace across the street , bought and bought a fuse, installed it in his HHR, asked him to drive the car around the block.
He came back , paid me for the fuse and bought me a coffee and said
"You can still learn something new everyday, thanks for helping me out!"

OK, I won't comment on "I worked for GM for 30 years".

Thats a perfect example there Oldblue. Sounds like he was a bit stubborn and wanted to do it himself. It was nice you were able to help him out though! Good job buddy

I did get my Hardwire installed today btw. Nothing was going my way but I eventually got things to work. Had to modify my little taps a bit but hey it works so thats what matters.
