Infinity speakers?
I'm replacing all four door speakers in my '10 with the base stereo. I have done some online research and I keep seeing the brand Infinity come up. Does anybody use these? Are they decent for the money? I'll probably end up spending $150-200 for all four speakers. Is there another brand I should check out first? I'll be buying them from Crutchfield.
I listen to a lot of alternative rock and metal with loud distorted guitars, some electronic music with moderate bass, but very little hip hop and rap with loud bass. I want them to sound good with those styles of music.

And now it's not working again. I'm going to order some new speakers and attempt to install them.
How good are the tweeters in the A pillars? Are they as unreliable as the door speakers? How hard are they to change? They seem to be working fine.

The tweeters in our cars don't go bad very often. It's because of where they're mounted. Inside the cabin area and not exposed to any water.
The door speakers generally go bad because they are exposed to water that drips past the window molding.
Not just a HHR problem. Any car with door mounted speakers can have this problem.

Here's a list of speakers for your front doors
http://www.crutchfield.com/g_400/All...rs.html?tp=105
This for your rear doors
http://www.crutchfield.com/g_400/All...tml?tp=105&l=D
Now I noticed they offer free mounting hardware so check that out, as for speaker choice that's up to your ears!

Polk used to be the "900 Pound Gorilla" of speakers a generation ago, but the quality isn't there anymore.
No experience with Infinity products, I'd go for the Kenwood units or the Fosgates myself, but my hearing isn't as keen as it was once so I find the OEM Pioneer Premium Audio speakers to be just spiffy for my listening...or Cranking It on the scheduled days.
