Remote Start Anyone?

Remote Start Anyone?
I'm going to install a remote start in my '08 SS, 5spd.
Also going to connect the door locks and use the AUX channel to work my hide away license plate
I'm NOT taking it to Best Buy to let the idiots try and figure it out. Yes they are idiots...how do I know? My best friend used to work there installing remote starts lol. He was smart enough to leave
Anyways, between the two of us, we can install it....we're just having some trouble figuring out what I would need.
The new fancy kits use a program to flash the computer, so you don't have to use one of your keys.
Has anybody installed a remote start in your ride? Suggestions on what to get?

I have never parked a standard in any gear position other than reverse and I couldn't start now. It's the strongest and safest gear to park in. Habit is a hard thing to break.
My hard headed story of the day:
I gave a guy who was parked in front of my house a jump start the other night.
Before I hooked the cables up to my Tahoe I said "red positive black negative" and he said "oh I switched them".
I said "switch the cables around".
He said "just hook yours up the same way".
I said "no you switch yours, I have done it this way for 35 years and I am not changing now".
He said "oh it will be okay".
I said "I guess you're not getting a jump start tonight".
He switched his cables.

My 09 SS auto came with the remote start and it is great. However, my previous vehicle, 04 Subaru STi manual had custom (Compustar) remote start/alarm with digital remote. It overridden factory alarm settings. To engage remote start I had to park the car in neutral, pull the parking brake, pull the key out (the car was still running), step out, shut the door, the car turned off, locked the doors and armed. When remotely started, I had to unlock, put the key in, turn it off, start it with the key and off I went. I had to pay a professional to rip this whole thing out eventually, as custom alarm did not make friends with the car, and there was only one remote, and it run through batteries in no time.
