Ok, Let me asked this. Has anyone done a wheel swap. I have searched and can't find a definite answer on this.

How do you do a wheel swap? Do you really need a steering wheel puller, or is it just a nut and wiggle and replace?

I just would like some clarification. IF this is right, I'm going to take my resin wheel off (that has all the controls and cruise controls) and put the leather cobalt SS wheel on.

That's for adding the buttons, not removing the entire wheel though, right? If I am going to do a steering wheel swap, I will need to know how.. I am with you bjall4jc.

yes some have put a cobalt wheel on an hhr. I understand it fits very well. to swap wheel you will need a steering wheel puller. if you are just changing or adding the radio switch you do not have to remove the wheel so no puller will be needed.

Actually I didnt need a puller, a few wiggles and the old steering wheel came right off. Maybe I got lucky, I dont know.
1st you have to remove airbag/horn assembly. There is a hole on each side, stic a allen wrench or icepick in the holes and it unlocks and pops off. carefully unlock and unplug the connections inside.
2nd pull the wheel off. If you didnt unplug the wires you will break the clockspring so make sure all are unplugged.
3rd put new wheel on , reconnect wires and snap airbag/ horn assembly back on.

took me about 30 minutes.

No clue. I didn't know there were sizes. But if it IS smaller than mine, that would be great. I have mine tilted as low as it will go, but I brush my leg getting in.

A&P, I am gonna send you a message in a jiffy.
