Steering Wheel Radio Controls...Should I Do It?

So I've been thinking..... I might want to put steering wheel radio controls on the HHR before I get it out for the winter. Any opinions on this? I've seen the thread on how to do it, and it doesn't look too hard... But I just wondered if anyone has any advice, or if anyone who has done it recommends it or regrets it... Any input?

it is easy to do however I dont really use them except for the mute which is nice. Also my airbag never lined up right again and has a gap now. Overall not sure if I would do it again but they do look better than just the blank plate.

i actually found it easier and cheaper to get a steering wheel with the controls already on there as opposed to just adding buttons and a plate. got a wheel from eBay for about 50 bucks. 10 minute install. just plug and go!

I thought about getting a new steering wheel, but I don't really like the leather wrapped looks...Don't know why but I prefer the plastic myself.

I was looking for the radio controls too, then I was given a whole wheel. I would really recommend the leather wheel, it feels so much better the whole time Im driving. Turns out the radio controls were just a bonus.

I've been thinking the same thing too. But I also want the smaller diameter leather wheel with the radio controls...

love my steering wheel controls. Since I am 6'2" i have the seat as far back as it goes and leaned back some, so I have to actually lean forward to play with the actual radio controls.

Love the leather steering wheel too, so comfy. One of the first things when my brother said when he got in the hhr right after he got his new Vue (bought on the exact same day I got the hhr) was how great the wheel felt compared to his.
