I just put the leather wrapped wheel and radio controls on mine, cost me 50 bucks at the salvage yard and was worth every penny. Wheel is easier on the hands and the MUTE button is great when pulling up to Mickey D's drive thru.

Kid,

I've done it like many others. It was a gimmicky thrill to use the up/down buttons at first and it made the OnStar easily accessible with the "Mute/OnStar" button. Now that I have discontinued the OnStar service and time has passed with its newness the only thing I use is the Mute - more times by accident than on purpose.

I know I have a post elsewhere on this board that I like the feature, but to tell the truth I would not do it again – well maybe just to do it I would. I can’t answer the leather wheel question, but it sounds like you have already done so for yourself.

The complete wheel option sounds best to me for those going to make the change – except those airbag connections so many have had problems with.

Well, my parents have owned cars with the radio controls, and we've always loved them. Any time we drive we use them... Unfortunately none of the vehicles we have now have them...

Still don't know if I'm going to do it or not...I'm almost leaning towards no. I don't know if it's worth the cost just for those buttons.
