Stubby Ant

Any body else have ant failure yet? started losing local reception about 2 weeks ago, reinstalled stock ant and now its clear again....funny though, the wifes car stubby got mutillated last winter while moving the car after a heavy snow...fwd braking and 20 in snow slid fwd and folded it fwd, never saw it coming,,ant was buried to start with (ooops) but still worked great! At first I though t it was the coax because when I touched it it got better( hard to drive that way though unless sunroof is open....not recommended). Soooooooooooooooooo...was just curious.....

stubbyantennae.com has a great selection and even rates their reception quality

Recomendation from maybe Sleeper... get one that extends so you can increase reception if it gets shady

FWIW: I just got a 3" one from ebay.. (el cheep-o) LOL

I think the extendable ones would be better for regular radio reception, like Chris posted !!!

I listen to CD's & Sirius XM..

Weird..I put it on the wifes car and it works great but acts like its missing when installed on mine...wiggled pulled in and out looked for dirt and corrosion(none) loosened and retightened, no change...it was an extendable one too,,loked great and pulled stations real well retracted....oh well, on the hunt for another.....

LOL..didnt try it ..it was bent over because the snow slid fwd and wiped it out so was actually a true stubby.Still worked but she likes her XM comedy channel and really had no input on regular radio...had to tell her to use fm to check mine out.

I only ask, because that would rule in or out your antenna as defective.
