Swapping Pioneer premium HU

Ok, I want to swap my HU but I want to use my steering wheel controls and my factory bluetooth. Is this possible? If so what adapters do I need? I have an 09 SS with the Pioneer premium HU.

I have the GM-lan 03 harness and a steering wheel control adapter but the steering wheel adapter only works for Apline and a couple other head units. I was going to put it in mine but once I wired everything up it turns out my 4 year old Alpine was shot. I've been meaning to get everything together and list them in the classifieds. I'll get the model numbers tonight but it's very possible I have what you need.

Sweet! I contacted Crutchfield and they said I would have to lose the steering wheel controls. I thought that was crap.

Is the HU really a Pioneer Premium HU or is it a Panasonic HU with Pioneer Premium speakers?

Parts

I was wrong I have the GMOS-Lan-04, which is the wiring harness for the premier system. I also have a SWI-Jack from Pacific Accessory Corporation. It works with most JVC, Alpine Clarion and Kenwood Radios to bridge the gap from the steering wheel buttons to the head unit.

http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=29 is their website.

Let me know if that is what you need.

Ok, the Kenwood DNX5140 is the HU I want to put in. I have factory steering wheel controls, bluetooth and onstar. I would like to keep all of these working. I know I need the GMOS adapter for the chimes and what not, if I use the PAC adapter will that let me use BT and the steering wheel controls? The head unit I am getting does not have BT built in.

If your new head unit does not have BT I would bet that there isn't an adapt that would let you keep that functionality.

ok. Hmmmm, what to do. I am working at BB for a few more weeks and I can get a sweet deal on the Kenwood DNX5140 but the bluetooth is a must have for me.

The DNX6140 has built in BT if you can get a deal on that model.

And for vehicles with onstar, you need the gmlan-04 harness.
