Tapping front speaker wires

Im hooking up an amp and need to know where to cut into the front channels. I have the base 6 speaker system, I read a post that says the front left should be GY/TN. I was looking behind the front kick panel, just below the hood release, are either of these twisted pairs correct?

Further up, above the hood release, this seems to be the wires going to the door speaker and tweeter, is that correct, and could I cut into the door speaker for a full signal?

Yeah, but I already have the rears patched in by the front doors according to instructions in the other thread, and speaker wires are already run to this location. I would rather not pull the head unit now.

Thats what Im thinking. I cut wires from the head unit at the front and ran new ones to the amp rack in the back where my LOC will be, then I can disconnect from there and reconnect to the new wires going to the speakers. I will be pulling amps and sub out almost on a weekly basis once mountain biking weather returns.

I just looked in the factory service manual. The wires are GY and TN all the way from the radio to the speakers. Also, the door speaker and the tweeter are wired in parallel, so you can tap into either (door or tweeter) GY and TN wire and have the full signal.

So where do they splice in? If only one wire runs back to the radio, they must be spliced somewhere. I [might] want to use those sections when I wire up a component set.

It's not that difficult to run new wires for the components. If you have done installs before, it's not too bad in this car. It will be well worth not running through the tiny wires if you are running a little power to them.
