Want your opinion

So I have a double din Alpine INA-W900BT, awesome head unit by the way. Anyways I'm a real sound quality freak and want to put in a EQ, problem is no where to out it close to the radio. So I'm thinking, there is the space above the radio where the dash light fader, fog light switch is. What if I was to relocate them, cut the dash and flush mount the EQ right there? Sounds good in theory right? Anyone else done anything like this or has any insight?

IMO, it'd be cool to see. Should make wiring it easier. As for moving the buttons...on the side of the center console? Just a thought.

Well honestly I'm probably just going to bury the dimmer thing back in the dash and the air bag indicator. So I just need to move the fog light switch. I was thinking down below the radio between the rear wiper switch and the lighter. Or since I'm going to take the rear wiper off I'll take out that switch and put it there. We will see. I'm just in the planning stages now. Thanks for the input though.

If you're ditching the rear wiper, that would be a great spot for the fog light switch. Might take some messaging to get the fit right, but nothing too crazy.

Maybe put the dimmer and foglight button where the heated seat buttons would go, assumimg you dont have heated seats.Youd have to patch in longer wires though.

Im not sure if you have an SS with the performance display, but if you do you can mount it on the back edge to the left or the right of the screen...

Im thinking Im going to pull out the Double Din and put in a regular Din size Kenwood radio, then the dash kit will have a space for the EQ, also decided to upgrade my sub, I have one 12" now, Im going to go with four 12"s and 2 more amps, for a total of 3 amps, 2 for the subs and one for my door speakers. Anyone interested in a Alpine Double Din? Model INA-W900BT. Look it up, its loaded.....let me know, PM me

take out the little rubber storage thingy thats right in front of your gear shift and mount it there would save you the hassle of rerouting other stuff

Also as an FYI an old member here tried something similar w/ re-routing the buttons on the waterfall. IIRC he ran into wiring + electrical problems and his build went south after that. He no longer posts on here (honestly don't know what happened to him) but look up the posts by XXL and you'll see what I mean. I'm just trying to look out for ya and maybe save you a massive headache bro.
