Is this what we have been waiting for?

They also have one for the stock amplified system. I just got off the phone with them and they said that I am correct in believing that one of the 2 units that they make will restore the chimes and turn signals that were lost in the system replacement. An extra small speaker will be necessary to play the sounds.

$159 seems kind of steep for something that was engineered wrong in the first place.
i guess if you want to keep Onstar after the contract is over or you want a nice h/u then you have to get one now to make it all work.
it might also fix the installing security system as well.

I have my cell phone with bluetooth head set when I drive my HHR and it works just as good, if not better, than my OnStar phone in my Suburban. I always have the option of hooking it up to my Alpine head unit which is bluetooth/handsfree capable.
I would stay away from installing a security system on the HHR until PAC comes out with a HHR specific adapter. That's what they used on my 05 Suburban and it still had problems. If need be I would install Lo-Jack if I had to have an aftermarket security system in my HHR.

I have worked with Insurance Companies in loss cases, and they are just looking for an out. If you got in an accident I would bet that the insurance company would consider the removal of chimes and turn signal an out to stiff you out of a settlement.........
