I'm with you on this one Twist. I frequently drive from Western Michigan to Toronto and love the fact that I can listen to something without ever having to worry about it fading out.

My favorite channels are 150, 153 (comedy). I have even found myself sitting in the parking lot to hear the end of a bit.... even after driving 8 hours.

I'm a big fan of SquiZZ (48), The Heat (68) and MLB (175).

Just had my free time expire so I am going to call on this tomorrow.

Was just looking online at the xmradio.com website... I was pretty excited to be able to have XM and Sirius (since I miss Sirius in my old Dodge) but was disappointed to see that you can't get Sirius music stations, you can only get their crap (Stern, Playboy and Nascar... and I am a racing fan but still calling that crap).

I peeked over at the Sirius website and they have an option called A la carte that lets you pick your favorite 100 stations... meaning you don't have to get the crappy foreign language or soap opera stations if you don't want them.

just a heads up on that. with that price you still won't be getting sirius. That price is for the "xm everything" plan an not the "xm everything + sirius"... i know it's stupid the way they're doing it. none the less. i asked about it. the guy wanted to sell me a year with the sirius add on for like $170, i'm like, dude, are you stupid...

they both will be going to the al a carte stuff as well. but it's all screwy on how they do it. i think with xm, you will be able to do it, and have choices of 50, 100 etc choices. but like with the 50 choices it cost X amount of money and can't choose certain things and all that. If you google it all yu can get a ton more info.

to me it's not worth it. and the merger isn't going to end up helping anything. it's just going to end up costing more eventually. they were set in to a thing saying they can't hike prices for a certain amount o time after the merger, but i've heard that is being fought as well...

I got it for $65.00

They also do it where they take the cost of a month (12.95) off if you put it on a credit card with them, hence the $65.

Someone said that they didn't do that for them. but even at 77 it's 1/2 the cost they want to charge you.

Thanks for this info. I just did this on my wife's Sante Fe, worked great no questions asked. The trial expired on the 28th but after renewing my wife said that the XM still worked, but I'm sure it would have been a matter of time before it cut off.

Sirrius

They are offering me the Sirrius "Special" that has the Howard Stern channels and playboy channels. I would not pay anything extra for that crap. I mean Stern is an idiot and I just do not think the playboy channel has much to see on the radio.
I might add a few classic rock stations if they had that option but I certainly would not pay much for it.
At $65 per year it is Great!, at $100 per year it better have a few more channels that I like and at $140 Do not even think about it as it aint gonna happen!
