XM Radio Pricing

Well, if you are persistent, you can still get the promotional rate for XM. I have three cars, My HHR, Avalanche, and wife's CTS. I called and they were going to cost me a total 384.28 for one year. I balked, told them XM was a luxury I could do without, especially in this economic environment. They transferrd me to the cancellation depart, and they immediately asked what they could do to keep my radios activated. They ended up giving me the 77 dollar year rate which is actually 88.78 with music royalty fees added on.
They actually gave me this rate on all three vehicles, and the final total with music royalty fees was 266.34. Not a bad savings for 10 minutes on the phone. I would never have know about this if it were not for this site.
Now we will see what happens this time next year.

I just received an offer in the mail from XM for the $77/yr. + royalty thing. I let it run out after the trial period at the end of September.

Twistrman Thank you for the "magic" number I have tried many ways to convert the XM radio over to sirius with zero luck. I called and they had a special of $88.00 per year for XM and I was able to add the best of sirius for a total of $111 and some change. Thanks again. This board rocks with all the knowledge on here. I am still a newbie HHR owner and this board has helped out alot. Thanks again

Thanks man! I just signed up for this deal, and since I got the car used and had not had XM previous, they threw in an additional 3 free months! Now if only I could get Sirius to give me a deal on my Ford.

Just called XM to cancel again and they offered me the 5 month deal for $19.99 plus those pesky royalty fees for a total of $23.05. Works for me

I just got the $88 deal. Last year I used the $77 deal. I did mention my intent to drop XM coverage.

I called to cancel 5 monthes ago an after I turned down all of their offers of this and that they offered me 5 monthes for free. Just have to call and cancel or they will start billing me at that time. when I called to cancel at the 5 month mark they gave me 5 more monthes free to keep me. I think after that I may keep it and pay If I can get the 77/88 deal. Long story short they will do almost anything to keep you

I had my XM stolen out of my work truck and they said all they could do was cancel the service and did not even offer me any promotions to keep me as a customner. I asked If they had any promo radios, could they wave the activation fee if I got a new one, or what they could help me out with. They said that they could not do anything and that I would have to pay for new activation and even pay for 3 months on advance!!! I have had XM for 3 years and I alway hear about people getting such great deals from them, but I have not personally seen any.

Call back and talk to someone else. I am on my 3rd year with the $77.00 now $83.00 deal. I think you have to get the right person who will work with you.
