XM for $65 a year!

If you want to continue your XM and it is ending soon, and you think their $142 a year price tag is outrageous, here is the discount for you.

SO for the cheat sheet version of this (longer details below)
1. Call 1 800 967 2346
2. Tell them you got a promo for $77 for a year
3. Get an extra 12.95 off for putting on credit card.
4. XM at over 1/2 off!

Call 1-800-967-2346 it is an XM number, just not the standard one, people said they called the regular one, and got nowhere.

So after you go through the whole menu, get to talking to a real person, easier said then done, but you just have to go through all of them.

Say you got an offer for $77 for a year of service as a promotion. The real promo code for this is "ZWINBACK" although they didn't even ask for the code, they just did it. Then for using a credit card you get a month free off of the bill, so it takes 12.95 off of that and goes to $64.05, plus all taxes and that.

Easy as that! Didn't ask for the code, or verification or anything. They will try to sell you 3 years, 2 years, etc at ridiculous prices.

They also try to sell you something else, and i might call back and take them up on it. A spare XM radio so you can put it in another car. You can get their basic model (XpressEZ), which is normally 40, for 10 bucks. I know it's no frills, but this way i could put it in my wife's car for her to enjoy. It just had an FM transmitter but for extra you can put a modulator in, or a few other ways to make it better. Or you can get their better models at a discount. XFI3 for 50 and the XpressR for 80.

For $10 i figure why not and try it out.

I would wait until after 10/06/08 because that is the first day of the new combined channels with Sirius. There may be new products to choose from.

you can already get Sirius Channels. But you have to have the XM Everything + Best of Sirius package. which costs more, and i don't want to pay extra for.

Even if they are changing the channel lineup to add more Sirius in for everyone, it should be just that, for everyone, not just new subscribers

Plus mine was expiring yesterday, so I didn't have a choice. Nothing on the regular radio down here...

Definatly is worth it

I think the XM radio definatly is worth it. Here the local radio stations are just about ALL COMMERCIALS! ALL THE TIME AND THEY HAVE TO YELL AND REPEAT THE PHONE NUMBER OVER AND OVER!
That is irritating and makes me just want to tur the thing completly off.
XM radio I get good stations with no commercials all over the United States.
They did try to get me to pay something like $14.95 a month or so and I told them just cancell it then. They said wait a minute and put me through to someone else and I got it for about $65 for the year.
I am glad to pay $6 per month for no commercials! Oh yes. Curly

yeah, i was interested in getting Stern, but would only give me that at regular price. As he was trying to upsell me a bit, 3 years of it was like $400 something.

Even at $4 a month extra, with the $65 a year promo (which is only $5 and some change) it's almost doubling the price, and when i checked last night it was only 10 sirius channels or so. Not worth it to me for 1 or 2 channels.

I called XM today (my expires tomorrow), I asked and was able to get the XM for one year for $77.00. She did ask for the promo code (ZWINBACK) and how I received it (I said by mail )
Super easy!! She tried up selling, I declined. Thanks Chevyhhr.net and twistman. What a great site for all HHR fans

Just got off the phone with XM and re-upped for a year. He didn't ask me for the code, but mentioned "zwinback" as soon as I said it was $77/year. He offered me the upgrade to best of sirius for $153!! No thanks.
I also didn't take them up on the other "upgrades" they offered.
Honestly, I like XM, I listen to a couple music channels and 3 of the comedy channels, but I don't love it. $12.95/month is more than I am willing to pay, but $6.42/month I can live with.

Thanks twisterman
This is why I love this site
