XM radio is too quiet!
When I have XM radio on it is way quieter than my mp3 player, a CD, or regular FM radio. In fact for it to be useful I have to turn it up at least 1/3 of the way, and this is with the premium Pioneer radio. Mine is an '06. Any advice? Would something like this be a warranty item? Mine is GM certified used, and is still under warranty. Is there some type of adjustment I can make myself?

Well you may have an issue with the line level output of the XM module in the back that feeds the signal to the head unit. I've noticed that the XM signal is slightly lower than either the CD or the AM/FM bands but not by much, you might have this checked out.

Mine is the opposite. The FM has way lower volume and is the worst sounding radio I've had in many years. The XM sounds like a champ! The difference is so great that I've wondered if GM did this on purpose!

Mine is the same way, i think that there is an old thread on here about this topic. I has to do with the receiver and output of XM or something along those lines, my radio is wayyyy quieter XM, FM, AM. Put in a cd then you can feel the bass lol.
