Aftermarket Brake Rotor Recommendations Wanted
I do mostly highway driving (80%) and my front rotors are warped. I'm convinced GM rotors are crap and want to replace them with something better. Anyone got any recommendations and pricing? I'm also remembering that the problem seemed to start shortly after switching to winter tires....I'm thinking the tire shop over torqued the lugs and may have caused it. I'm gonna switch back next month and will do it myself. Anyone know the correct torque?
I'm thinking somewhere around 100 ft/lbs. If I'm REALLY lucky the rotors will return to normal and problem solved, but I'm thinking its probably permanent.
Thanks!

I have had good luck with Centric Premium E coated brake rotors and Akebono Pro Act ceramic pads. Changed out my orig rotors and pads at 70K miles, I had a mild shimmy as everyone however the orig pads were nearly worn down. I now have 82k miles with no problems (knock on wood). $160.00 + shippping for pads and rotors at a major online parts site. I drive about 2000 miles per month on the highway.

Also check out R1Concepts.... I had to machine them slightly, out of the box, but the price was right and have worked great for 15,000+ miles...
