Aftermarket Springs and Factory Warranty

Aftermarket Springs and Factory Warranty
I'm sure this has been covered but I'm asking again....
I just bought my HHR a month ago and still have a year and half (20k) miles left on my factory bumper to bumper warranty. I'm REALLY wanting to drop it but I don't want to get into the whole "you voided your warranty because you changed your springs" with the dealership if I ever have any issues. I understand that by changing the springs that of course I void that part of the warranty. Have any of you ran into any problems with dealerships not warranting your problems because of aftermarket parts installed?

Believe it or not, when I put on Pedders, the dealer did it for me, with no real extra charge because I was changing out the shocks at the same time.
Didn't void my warrenty, but then again 36 B to B was expired anyway.
I've been running bolt-ons since day one, no repair has ever been denied

They have to proved the damage was caused by the mod. With lowered springs, don't expect them to warranty your shocks. Lowered springs shouldn't cause any other damage that you would try to use a warranty for....

Yeah my thoughts exactly. I did some mods on my S-10 and had a ABS sensor go out. The first dealership said they wouldn't honor the warranty because of the mods. Took it to another dealership and they covered it no problem. It's been a while since I've had a new vehicle that I've modded so I just wasn't sure how the dealerships were these days about this sort of stuff.
