clunking noise gone for good
I'll start by telling you I have a 106,000 mile on my Lt1. Extended warranty went out the window a while ago. I finally got rid of all my weird noises..on the car
I started by installing new struts that the dealer replaced. I installed new end links, sway bar bushings and new rotors from Napa.
Today after reading several online videos and reading for about 3 weeks online. I dared to replace my lower control arm bushings I bought on the Moog website for $34. I was really surprised how easy it was to remove the arm and bushings. I did cheat by taking the control arms to Pep Boys to have them push in the bushings for $20. I couldn't believe how bad of shape the bushings were. Just about falling off the arm once removed.
It took me about three hours including 2 beers and the trip to Pep Boys. Let me know if you need some details on how do this fix.
