I adjusted my headlight prior to the springs as my lights were already high. After the drop in the rear they are back to where they were. I probaly should lower the lights again but it's not near the top of my to do list for now.

But you may need to lower the light. As sleeper said just a little bit though.

I don't think the factory was very anal about aiming the headlights perfectly..

So checking them would be prudent even without leveling da ride..

adjusting them is a 10 minute dealio.. & that's goofing off included..

Just sayin...

Out of town for a week and the HHR looked the same as I left. Hopefully when I get back it will be a settled in and low.

I have the same Cobalt SS/TC springs with 215/50-17 tires and the wheel opening is 27 1/2" measured thru wheel center ground up. Been that way for 3 yrs.

Best way to settle springs in is actually driving the car............

True. Just came home and looks the same. Hopefully after a week or so of driving things will change.

My past personal experiance with installing lowered suspensions is to drive them around curves and turn into or out of inclines (like your driveway or local gas stations) to allow full travel in all directions (up, down, squat left, right) which can help settle the springs faster vs. just "driving" normally. Work the suspension and it'll drop like it's supposed to.

So I drove the HHR around today and there are some some wicked noises coming from the rear when I go over a bump, like a metal groaning noise. Will that settle out in time? I even turned them a bit to see if I could delete the noise.

PS. They are dropping some, I am back to my before height.
